Impersonal portraits

inkjet print, 100x150cm, 2017

Impersonal Portraits is a series of nine prints. The portraits were made during a performance. In the performance every individual was asked to read a text about a family portrait in front of the camera. The photographs were edited with the use of a disrupted printer. By playing with the paper and ink, the original portraits were distorted.

Impersonal portraits was presented after a residency at the Halfmannshof in Gelsenkirchen for the Ministry of Culture of the Ruhr area, Germany
